National Institute for the Deaf
To prepare increasing numbers of deaf students for further education and training and to improve access to quality occupational and vocational training.
The National Institute for the Deaf (NID) enlisted the help of Danie Kok on an innovative journey to introduce technology (blended learning) and develop deaf-accessible skills-training programmes.
The project is ongoing, but students who completed the inaugural Links4Life bridging programme have shown vast improvements in numeracy, literacy, communication and critical thinking skills.
For more detailed information on case studies, contact Danie Kok.
“Stratcona’s contribution in coordinating and managing this complex blended-learning project has been invaluable. With Danie Kok and his team’s assistance, NID adhered to project timelines and developed deaf-accessible learning materials timeously and with great effect”
